American Council Condemns Actions of Hamas; Supports Israel's Sovereignty
Sacramento, California — American Council President Tanner DiBella released the following statement after thousands of rockets were launched into Israel by Hamas, a Palestinian nationalist organization.
"On Saturday, millions of Israeli citizens woke up to an all-too-familiar sound. Hamas militants have fired thousands of rockets and sent dozens of fighters into Israeli towns in an unprecedented invasion. Hundreds of men, women, and children have been killed and captured, with thousands more injured. We stand with our Jewish, Christian, and Arab friends in Israel as they fight for their lives and defend their homeland. The Biden administration says their support for Israel is unwavering. It's time to stand by those words with action, Mr. President."
The American Council is reaching out to state and national policymakers to stand up and get involved in this critical issue.
