Riley Gaines Joining American Council on October 25th for Annual Gala Event
Sacramento, CA — The 12-time NCAA All-American, who garnered national attention when she was forced to share a locker room and compete against biological male Lia Thomas at the 2022 NCAA Women’s Swimming Championship, is joining the American Council at their annual gala event in Sacramento.
Riley's experience propelled her to defend and protect America’s daughters against gender-denying ideology.
In a video published by The American Council, Riley Gaines stated:
The American Council, one of the most important family advocacy groups across the West Coast and really the nation, is about to host its annual Gala Event. I am so excited to join everyone at the Council and celebrate how they have effectively defended families.
The American Council's annual gala (coined "The Freedom Gala" this year) draws some of the most influential political and religious leaders in California. Previous attendees have included Kayleigh McEnany, Governor Mike Huckabee, and U.S. Senator Tim Scott.
The evening features a 5-star dining experience, live music, a keynote presentation from Gaines, and appearances from California leaders like Assembly Minority Leader James Gallagher and others.
Tanner DiBella, President of the American Council, released a statement following the announcement:
The American Council is giving Christians a voice in a state that has otherwise completely ostracized them. We are fighting for families, parental rights, and religious liberty across the West Coast. We are honored to have leaders like Riley Gaines come alongside us and speak to why our work is so important.
The American Council's Freedom Gala is on Friday, October 25th at the Kimpton Sawyer in Sacramento, California. To learn more and purchase tickets, you can click here.
