Statement on the Assassination Attempt Against Charlie Kirk

Sacramento, CA — We are deeply grieved and outraged by the reprehensible assassination attempt against Charlie Kirk. Violence has no place in our nation’s public life, and this cowardly act is an assault not only on Charlie but on the freedoms we hold dear.
At this critical moment, our prayers surround Charlie, his wife, his children, and all those who love him. We are believing for his full healing and for God’s peace to sustain his family through this unimaginable trial.

The assassination attempt on Charlie Kirk was reprehensible and heartbreaking. We cover Charlie, his wife, and his children in prayer. Moments like this confront us with the sobering reality of what happens when political division festers into hatred. A culture that normalizes rage will always breed violence. This must end. Regardless of party or ideology, violence can never be the way forward. It is a betrayal of everything America stands for. May Charlie and his family be surrounded with comfort, may our country turn from hatred, and may God’s grace pierce through the darkness of this moment.
