The American Council Hosts Celebration for Newly Elected Candidates

Rocklin, CA — The American Council hosted a Candidate Celebration dinner at Chef's Table in Rocklin, California for American Council-backed candidates in Placer County.

Over 40 individuals attended the invite-only dinner, including Rocklin Mayor Bill Halldin, Lincoln Mayor Holly Andreatta, Assemblyman Joe Patterson, Placer County Supervisor Bonnie Gore, and Congressman-elect Kevin Kiley. Dozens of school board members, city council members, and other elected officials were in attendance.

Tanner DiBella, President of the American Council, made opening remarks congratulating the candidates:

You've spent the last year thanking volunteers, donors, and supporters for believing in you. But, tonight is our way of showing gratitude to you. Martin Luther King Jr. said that the true test of a man is not where he stands in moments of ease or comfort, but where he stands in moments of trial and difficulty. You've sacrificed time with your family and your friends. You've sacrified money and personal ambition for the betterment of our community. Many of you have been ridiculed for your bold stands. Tonight, we want to honor your sacrifice, and celebrate in your success.

80% of all American Council-backed candidates won their election bid, an unprecedented milestone.
