"We stand against violence," Family groups call for peaceful advocacy in Placer County

A joint statement

Roseville, CA – On Thursday, March 23, the Roseville Joint Union High School District held a board meeting where community members clashed over the recent actions of Loomis Basin Congregational United Church of Christ Reverend. The minister was the subject of a Project Veritas video in which he proclaimed to counsel students and teach them about gender and sexual identity without parental consent.

During RJUHSD public comment, a man claimed that he had gone to the Reverend’s home and encouraged other community members to do the same. According to online reports, the individual showed up to the Reverend’s home and engaged in an altercation with another individual.

The American Council, Moms for Liberty, Students First California, and other family organizations strongly condemn this response and call on the community to pursue advocacy through non-violence and peace. Accountability is necessary, especially when dealing with children. Keeping children safe should be everyone's top priority. This can be accomplished in a respectful manner.
